About our
school
We teach Taekwondo. What families stay for is what it does to a child's focus, confidence and character.
Who we are
A member school of the
American Taekwondo Association
Fraser Heights Black Belt Academy is a member of one of the world's largest martial arts organizations, the American Taekwondo Association. We offer what we believe is the best martial art in the world.
Taekwondo is an exciting and powerful martial art known for its dynamic kicking and hand techniques. Our programs are adapted to modern times while drawing on techniques refined over centuries.
We realize that each student possesses different physical abilities — size and strength vary with each individual. After building a foundation of basic skills, our approach is to enhance each student's physical capabilities and maximize their competency in self-defense.
At FHBBA we are not interested in just teaching self-defense; we are interested in the complete personal development of each student. Individual attention is a feature of each and every class, enabling students to progress toward their own objectives. Our instructors take their responsibility seriously as role models for younger students, emphasizing the importance of strong character, leadership and good values.

Mission statement
FHBBA strives to provide quality training opportunities to students with a mindset of building future leaders.
We are a community of families whose values coincide with the life skills we teach our students.
FHBBA provide a safe place where students can set goals, train with a purpose, learn from mistakes and learn to give back to communities around them.
What we teach
Six life skills, in every class
Technique is the vehicle. These are what students actually leave with — and what parents tell us they notice first at home and at school.
-
Belief
The conviction that effort changes the outcome — practised until it is a habit.
-
Respect
For instructors, for training partners, and for the person you were last month.
-
Honesty
Rank is earned. Nothing here is given for showing up.
-
Discipline
Doing the repetition on the day you do not feel like it.
-
Self-Esteem
Built by mastering a real skill in front of other people.
-
Communication
Speaking up, listening the first time, and asking when you do not understand.
